Creating Magic with Tiny Adjustments
Dan has over 30 years experience performing magical entertainment for children and adults at Respite Programs, Social Groups and Celebrations.
When performing Dazzling Dan includes as many people as possible, engaging their attention from afar or where they sit. Participants can be part of the show without leaving the comfort zone of the crowd, by making choices during the magic show (e.g. picking a playing card, choosing what magic word to say…). Confirm how to best communicate with any keen participants and Dazzling Dan can include them in the magic show.
Dazzling Dan’s experience in the ASD community and passion working with people of all abilities has lead to Dan crafting a calm and inclusive magic show.
Dazzling Dan’s Magic Shows can be adapted to your needs!
Dan’s professional magic show brings a certain structure, an organised excitement and calm at the same time. This is very predictable and comforting to children with anxiety or social awkwardness. Having a child on the Autism Spectrum with Sensory Processing needs, Dan understands how magical a show presented in the right way can be. Dan intuitively understands how to adjust for maximum enjoyment and fun for all.
Magic is an international and visual art form so even if a child can’t follow the story or is hearing impaired they can still appreciate, feel included and enjoy the show.
Around Victoria Dan regularly performs at the school’s, holiday and respite program’s for children (and adults) with special needs.
If you have a Birthday, Holiday Program Event, School Activity (including homeschooling) or any other special occasion for children or adults, contact Dazzling Dan the Magic Man to add a touch of magic.
Dan also provides tuition and corporate entertainment for adults. Recently teaching at the Barwon Paediatric Services Conference and providing entertainment at the Australian Psychological Societies AGM. These specialists realise just how engaging having a trick or two up your sleeve can be.
“Dazzling Dan – the name says it all! Dan has all the magic tricks… and does them in a wonderfully understated and humorous way. He is great fun to have at corporate functions and ever so patient as he teaches you some of his magic arts to perform yourself.”
Dr David Fuller. Divisional Medical Director, Director of Paediatric Education
